In response to the letter led by Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, McCollum, and Pocan to President Biden calling for a ceasefire, IfNotNow National Spokesperson Eva Borgwardt released the following statement:

“We’re grateful to these Members of Congress for their leadership in calling on President Biden to push for an immediate ceasefire in this horrific war, in which Israel's assault on Gaza has already killed over 4500 Palestinian children. A ceasefire is the only path to ending the collective punishment of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, securing a hostage exchange, deescalating the violence, and working towards a long-term political solution for Palestinians and Israelis.”
