IfNotNow Responds to Sen. Schumer Speech

In response to Senator Schumer's speech on the Senate floor regarding the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza, IfNotNow political Director Lauren Maunus released the following statement:

“Senator Schumer claimed to want to end the bloodshed for Palestinians and Israelis, but he has spearheaded $14 billion in unconditional weapons funding to Israel for its assault on Gaza and spoke at AIPAC’s conference earlier this week. If he genuinely cares about the lives of Palestinian and Israeli civilians and wants to bring the hostages home, he should reject AIPAC’s agenda and call for a lasting ceasefire, reverse course on weapons transfers, and push for Israel to dismantle its systems of occupation and apartheid over Palestinians.“
