During a moment of heightened fear for many marginalized communities, Rep. Jamaal Bowman is speaking truth to power — just as he has done since he took office in 2021. Not only does he speak up against rising Islamophobia and antisemitism, but he does so in a way that clearly distinguishes anti-Jewish hatred from advocacy for Palestinian human rights. Jamaal has also shown up for the pro-peace movement, supporting a lasting ceasefire, the end of Israel’s killing of Palestinian civilians and the safe return of Israeli hostages. At the same time, Jamaal is fighting relentlessly for the people of his district, including by delivering $1 billion back to the 16th district, of which $324 million is earmarked for housing, $231 million for education, and $155 million for child care.
