We proudly endorse Cori Bush.
“While far-right billionaires pour millions into dividing our communities and interfering in Democratic primaries in order to advance their bigoted, extremist agenda, organizations like IfNotNow stand courageously for justice. I’m thrilled to once again have their support in my re-election campaign.
IfNotNow’s leadership is invaluable, and I am proud to partner with them in the push for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza to save lives, the safe return of all hostages and those arbitrarily detained, holding the Israeli government accountable, and achieving a just and lasting peace in Israel and Palestine.” - Rep. Cori Bush
Rep. Cori Bush has served her community as an ordained pastor, a registered nurse, and the first activist from the Black Lives Matter movement elected to federal office. Cori speaks with hope and conviction about the way that many communities, including Jewish and Palestinian communities, showed up arm in arm with Black communities during the Ferguson Uprising. Knowing that our safety and our futures are deeply tied together, Cori has led the call for a ceasefire in Congress, introducing the first ceasefire resolution in Congress after October 7. Moreover, Cori knows how to fight for what’s right here at home. Having first-hand experience with eviction and being unhoused while caring for two infants, Cori took a stand against the looming lapse of the COVID-era eviction moratorium in 2021 by sleeping on the steps of the US Capitol for days on end. In doing so, she won an extension of the moratorium for millions of people across the country.
IfNotNow Movement re-endorses Cori Bush for Missouri’s 1st District.
