Ceasefire Circles

Join the movement of Jews calling for a ceasefire and working towards equality, justice, and safety for all Palestinians and Israelis. Learn, build relationships, and take action with like-minded members of your community.

Deadline to register is Friday, Nov 24!

What are Ceasefire Circles?

Each Ceasefire Circle is a small group made up of 5-7 people who want to join the movement of Jews calling for a ceasefire. Ceasefire Circles are for folks who identify as Jewish, of all backgrounds.

How are circles supported?

Your circle will have access to two main forms of support:

  1. Each week, you can download our weekly curriculum with easy instructions and guides on how to lead your circle meetings.

  2. Each Circle Host will be connected with a coach who will be dedicated to supporting you every step of the journey.

What will we do in my circle?

You will come together to meet and take action once a week for four weeks with support from a coach and our customized curriculum.

A typical meeting is 90 minutes long and includes relationship-building time, political education or training, and a group discussion or skills practice.

The goals of your circle are to:

  1. Process and build relationships together: This moment has been heartbreaking and terrifying for all of us. Your circle will be a place to build trusted relationships where you can process your grief and share what feels at stake for you.

  2. Learn together: We will provide you with political education and discussion materials to support your circle to navigate the complex history that has led to this moment and equip you to feel more confident in your knowledge of the issue.

  3. Take action together: You will support each other to take meaningful action together to call for a ceasefire. This can look like attending actions that are already planned or planning your own small action.

When will I be connected to my circle?

The deadline to register is Friday, Nov 24. The following week on Monday, Nov 27, we will send you an email with your circle assignments. The Circle Lead will coordinate making sure that you meet as soon as possible that week.

I would like to be in a circle with BIJOCSM folks. Is this possible?

Yes! There’s a checkbox on the form if you’d like to be in a BIJOSCM circle. Please check it!

(BIJOCSM stands for Black, Indigenous, Jews of Color, Sephardi, Mizrahi)

If I choose to be a Circle Lead, what would my responsibilities be?

Each Circle will have a Circle Lead. Circle Leads will support their fellow Circle participants throughout the program. That means facilitating each Circle meeting, making sure the group has a space to meet (i.e. your home, a coffee shop, a park or community center), and being in communication with Circle participants so they have all the info they need to participate. Each Circle Lead will work with a coach who will support you along the way!

What happens after the four weeks?

You and your circle mates will make plans for staying involved in the fight for a ceasefire and long term equality, justice, and safety for Israelis and Palestinians!
