Tell Congress: Stop Home Demolitions in Umm al-Khair

Israel’s Civil Administration forces just issued 14 demolition orders to the West Bank village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta.

They’re targeting 12 homes, a greenhouse, and the only community center — and the demolitions could take place as early as November 24.

The village is asking for immediate intervention from the U.S. government to bring attention to the risk of forcible displacement, pressure Israel to halt these demolitions, and stop ethnic cleansing in the West Bank.

Demand Congress take immediate action to stop these demolitions in the West Bank.

Enough is enough.

We’re sick and tired of pro-Trump, pro-war, anti-Palestinian communal “leaders” holding themselves up as the official representatives of Jews in the press and in the halls of power.

They don’t speak for us. We do.

A majority of U.S. Jews believe in freedom and democracy for all Palestinians and Israelis and oppose forced mass starvation in Gaza, expanding apartheid in the West Bank, funding for bombs over schools and healthcare, and complicity with Trump’s racist authoritarianism.

It’s time we got organized and spoke for ourselves.

The self-appointed spokespeople have weapons developers and billionaire Trump donors behind them. The only way for us to drown them out is with people power – in our synagogues, our shabbat tables, and the streets. That means a movement built by and accountable to its members.

It’s going to take all of us.

No one is going to build the Jewish future for us. If we’re going to build it, we have to provide the resources ourselves. The more people join, the stronger our collective voice, the harder it is for those in power to dismiss us, and the closer we are to shared safety and a thriving future for all.

We are building the Jewish future. Come build with us.

How to Have Courageous Conversations: Special Call

Over the past two years of heartbreak, rage, and action in response to the genocide in Gaza, many of us have wrestled with loved ones who do not see the situation as we do.

Reaching for those closest to us is sometimes the most important work we can do. Yet sometimes we fall short of setting ourselves up for success.

Now, more than ever, we need community and support around how to navigate these conversations.

Join us on Wednesday, November 19 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT for How to Have Courageous Conversations.

On the call, we’ll discuss how to approach these difficult conversations and share resources to help you prepare for your own. Then, we'll have optional breakout groups where you can try out these techniques or share stories with other people in our movement.

Tell Congress: Block the Bombs.

Since October 2023, the U.S. has sent over $30 billion in weapons to the Israeli military.

During this period, the Israeli military has systematically targeted Palestinians in Gaza, killing at least 62,000 people and starving and displacing millions.

Yet our government continues to funnel weapons to Israel in violation of U.S. and international law, enabling its ongoing assault on Palestinians in Gaza.

The Block the Bombs Act is historic, standalone legislation that proactively challenges U.S. complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza by prohibiting the sale or transfer of some of the most lethal and commonly used U.S.-made weapons.

Email your member of Congress NOW to urge them to cosponsor and support the Block the Bombs Act.

Will you help us change the status quo in our politics and our community?

We’re going up against a powerful, wealthy establishment and rely on grassroots donors like you to grow our movement. Donate to IfNotNow.
