Q: Why AIPAC? Why are we protesting there?

A: AIPAC promotes endless occupation and Islamophobia in the name of the Jewish community, but they do not represent our generation of Jews. Their cozy relationship with the Trump administration is their final betrayal of our community. As the occupation enters its 50th year, we are reclaiming our Jewish values by taking action to support freedom and dignity for all. And we will do this in bold and beautiful ways, rooted in Jewish Resistance. We will be the leaders that the establishment refuses to be.

Q: What is the action plan?

A: Check out the schedule of events here. We’ll be updating them as we get closer to March 26.

Q: How do I find out more or get involved?

A: There are multiple ways to get involved with IfNotNow and learn more:

  • Host or attend a local Community Action Meeting in your city
  • Join our weekly campaign call to find out more about our strategy, how to get down to the action, and hear stories from people in the movement
  • Recruit others to join us at the AIPAC action by sharing the pledge on Facebook or Twitter, sending emails, and making phone calls to your friends and family
  • Make a donation to the movement

Q: How do I get to DC or LA?

A: We are arranging buses from a variety of cities across the country and are dedicated to arranging housing in DC for all those who need it. Find out more here.

If you are coming from a city that is not listed, we still want you to fill out a registration form and we can still help provide you with housing! Please fill out this registration form here.

FOR LA: Find out all the details you need and sign up here.

Q: Will there be civil disobedience? How much risk will I be taking?

A: We know that in this time there is a need for courageous and bold leadership and we will be rising to that need in a variety of ways throughout the weekend. You will not need to participate in civil disobedience. We will support you in making an informed choice about how much risk you take.

Q: I can’t come to shabbat dinner or the trainings. Can I still join the action?

A: Of course! We welcome you to come for any part of our action. Please comment on the pledge form or email us at info@ifnot.net to let us know your needs and plans

Q: Is IfNotNow right for me?

A: IfNotNow celebrates Jewish cultural diversity as a source of resilience. We are a diasporic people and value the experiences of all Jews in this movement, knowing that there are as many ways of being Jewish as there are Jews. We are committed to creating spaces that lift up the experiences of Jews of color, Jews of Mizrachi and Sephardic descent, working class Jews, Jews with disabilities, and trans Jews.

Q: Can I bring signs or a banner from another organization to represent my group in DC? Can my organization co-sponsor this action?

A: No. We ask that you do not bring signs or banners from other organizations. We want our messaging to be crystal clear to the public and so we are uniting under the banner of IfNotNow. We’re happy to share more about why we’ve made this strategic choice.

Q: I have a question that isn’t answered here:

A: Email info@ifnot.net or fill out this form and we’ll get back to you ASAP!
